Can ACCA qualified get admission in LUMS

Irrespective of whatever comments by the members, my earlier comments still hold good and i firmly believe on what i said, and at other thread, i said that my comments are Pak Specific regarding ACCA worth.

I also said that ACCA has very much worth abroad, but in pakistan, in the presence of ICMAP and ICAP, ACCA can never have the desired worth and you all are quite well aware of it, however, you cannot accept it since you are seems to be students of ACCA.

Sach accept karna boath mushkil hota hai specially jab izzat ka sawal ho!

sach to ICMAP ke bare mein bhi parliya hai forum pe ) sach karwa hota hai , iska example to icmap vs icap thread pe available hai. instead of accepting "sach" some people continued to make themselves look stupid again and again [D] i suggest you to take a course in etiquette of criticizing. [D] i know kuch log aise hotae hai ke kitna bhi education lelein , baton se to jahil he lagte hain[p]

shani thanxs for reply.but there is one thing i dint understand in your reply.i undesrtood that hec recognizes obu degree as 3 years bachelors but then u wrote a line which i dint understand.i am pasting that line from your reply,please elaborate.i am sorry to bother you again and again [)]

i dint understand when u said "produce a certificate from hec,then u would be accepted"

i mean do we have to argue with hec that it should be 4 years oor the matter is ended k we cant join lums...???

Rabia you are giving suggestion to Ajnabi to take admission in a course in etiquette of criticizing. On the other hand some days ago you were joining hands with some other member. Who criticizing me like an illiterate person. Why did you do no give this suggestion to him ? ? ? I initiated the thread ICMA VS CA and you were among those members who gave respose on that thread within very short time. I remember your comments. These were initial comments on that thread.

I am not criticizing on you at all but rather I want your clarification regarding some contradiction that I found in your 2 posts.

i haven't joined hands with anyone, i don't need too. if you notice i did say Sorry too in that post. it was just to show what kind of impression you have given. did you read what the other "literate" person had written about you over there?
have you ever noticed the number of posts by new forums members addressing that "literate person", calling him by his name for help?

i wont provide any clarification to you either.
ICMA vs CA at that time i was a new forum member,when you had certain "morons" around misguiding others. anyways i believe ke "ghare murdae ukharne se badboo ke siwa kuch nahi milta". sorry, i am not that good in Urdu sayings.

as for ajnabi even if he keeps dribbling his "sach", he can, who cares. keeping in mind how someone made a laughing stock outta him above, i suggested a course on "etiquittes of crticizing" to be taken.

It is called parhe likhe jaahil and so-called "professionals" as i name it. I laugh everytime someone claims to be a professional when he/she talks like a kid
I am a neutral person and would criticise or favour any institute which i believe must be criticised or favoured in the light of facts. That is why the reason i created a thread "strengths and weaknesses of your institute"

I did not say to anyone illiterate I have patience to bear criticize. Rather I was describing the behaviour. I was also a new member at that time see my profile. Anyhow main tumharay sath behas nhn kerna chata. Just chill

bro ye line LUMS ki email may likhi thi.Seedhi si bat ha na hi HEC is degree ko 4 sal ka manay ga aur na hi is ki base LUMS main admission milay ga.

Its quite amazing to see that even belonging to the "prestigious Pakistani accountancy qualification" certain members don't bother to behave on public forums and actually depict the level of maturity their so-called "well accepted" qualifications expose them to.

I'll request moderators of this website that please delete irrelevant remarks to save this thread from derailing.

Professional qualifications are not accepted for entrance into university programs mainly because these qualifications are meant to provide candidate the practical knowledge that is required to progress in his career. Moreover, these qualifications lack the research/thesis/project part that are compulsory at undergraduate level.
However, universities do provide the option to professional qualifications holder to get back to university route if they desire so by offering programs to professionals (OBU/UCP etc.).

If your aim is to study at LUMS then you should attain a recognized undergraduate degree and then apply.

Its just like when you do O/A Levels and upon your request HEC issues you an equivalence certificate that your abc grades in O/A levels are equivalent to xyz grades of Pakistani matric/inter.
After obtaining OBU degree you'll request HEC to issue you an equivalence certificate. If that certificate states that your 3 years OBU degree is equivalent to 4 years Pakistani graduation then any university in Pakistan will accept it since you'll be complying with their 16 years of education requirement and HEC will have attested your OBU degree.

I hope I've made it clear to you.

janab nobody was talking about ACCA's worth in Pakistan on this thread.Aap nay khud hi bat cher di.Obviously dear CA(ICAP) and ACMA(pk) have better acceptance in Pakistan magar aisa to har us country main hota jahan k apne institute suitable qualification offer kertay hain.Aisa hona bhi chaye.Yet many Pakistani pursue ACCA or other foreign qualification.How many native British follow Ca(ICAP) or ACMA(PK)?
Many Pakistani qualifieds initially drive taxis or work as waiters when they move abroad.Kam koi jhota nahi hota even that of a watchman.

U r right.But I don't think HEC would issue such a certificate?I wish I am wrong.Have u got this Bsc?I shall submit my thesis in next period(I guess it is in May).
BTW HEC don't issue equivalence certificate for A/O LEUEL.It is IBCC who do this.
