I’m a qualified accountant (ACA) and also qualified tax consultant (AITI-Ireland) coming out of contract very soon. I’m contemplating a career change, moving into the investment banking world/corporate finance, having previously previously done an internship with a leading investment bank in London.

Have read a lot about CFA (chartered financial analyst) qualification as way of increasing both my base knowledge of markets/finance world while boosting my job prospects. Little bit worried bout having to get 4 yrs practice experience before becoming a member.

Anyone have any thoughts on
1. this potential qualification,
2. jobs suited to my already held qualification within the investment banking/corporate finance world
3. the potential career move from accountancy
