Hi tajwar, CA is surely one of the best qualification in Pakistan but that not the issue, the issue why do we have to sacrifice college/uni. life to get this qualification. its not only the matter of college life and fun infact but in universities students are made to attened no. of seminars, confrences, debates etc. i think ICAP must do something in this connection by making a campus like ICMA or something like that.

hi friends, ca students can enjoy the things like debates & sports. but depends upon the raet u have joined. recently there was the sports day of pac & all the students have taken part in it. enjoyed a lot.
well, 4 the loss of university life very much i should say" kuch paane k leay kuch to khona parta hai na"

I agree to some extent with you (Mr. Business-Maker) that there is no special college life of ACCA or CA-Students as compared to the sudents of other professional universities & colleges (like engineering universities, medical colleges etc).
CA-Students have somewhat semester-wise/modular friends & fellows, indeed. They have no special consistent/permanent friends except some of the few ones.

im absoloutely in agreement wid business maker and sportyspice, dese institutes are merely tuition centres widd small bulidings....dere is hardly enough place to play cricket far less tafreeh....
damn! I miss da A level life....tafree is not only playin n entertainin stuff......its juss da fun and kinda ppl u get to interact widd.....and to b honest a large nice building gives u da courage to enjoy life...dats wat I xperienced durin ma A levelz
comparin my life widd ma freinds in iba cbm......as dey say dat i no more hav a social life and am missin on a very special time i cud hav enjoyed and cherished in a university...
i agree that there must be a proper institute..yet i dunn hav ne regrets, as i put ma self above ma friends in iba cbm etc!!!

hey guys no doubt ca is a good qualification but lagta hai ke tum logon ko superiority complex bhi hai. how can you say ke ca pakistan ki best qualification hai. compare apple with apple my friends. agar tum mba ki baat karte ho to mba aise bhi hain jo starting salary without any experience 50k+ lerahe hain aur bohat hi jald management hierarchy mai top positions pe pohanch ke lakhon uthate hain. it all depends on the quality, aur ye mai iba graduates hi ki baat karaha hoon. kiya kabhi ca soch bhi sakta hai aisa start without any experience.
aur mba karne ke baad cfa ka bohat acha option hota hai jo ke ca se har haal mai behatar hai agar aap salary wise compare karte ho.
ca's are accountants just like there use to be munshis in old days. to give u an example,do u know the difference between accounting and finance? let me tell you ca is like a scorer in a cricket match who records the score as it is whereas, finace manager is the player who plays the actual match. to behtar kon howa.
pakistan mai ca's hi finance sambhalte hain kiyoon ke mba's iss quality ke nahi lekin ab trend change horaha hai. cfa ke baad or even mba ke baad specially banks mba's ko prefer karte hain. foreign countries mai top universities ke mba are the top ceo's aur un ki starting salaries bhi itni hain ke aap ki sirf soch ho gi.
last yara never overestimate or underestimate any qualification. each has its own relevance provided that u have the potential. aaj kal jaga jaga business schools khul gayen hain jahan quality students nahi jate isi liye quality graduates nahi nikalte. lekin ache institutes ab bhi quality mba's nikal rahe hain. ca is an extremly qauntitative and hard working job. that is why it is highly paid. lekin doosri qualifications bhi hain jo tough hai aur ziyadha promising hai jaise ke actuaries ya cfa.
again guys no hard feelings. i am not here to offend somebody but trying to give some food for thought. think rationally and always compare oranges with oranges.

im quite in agreement wid u....bt i tend to differ-monetary terms are certainly one of the major factors in judging qualifications, but i think that CAs r more professionally trained dan an MBA and i believe CA is a detailed and thorough stdy whereas MBA is like icing on the top of nothing....i dun say its fake.....but juss dont find real complacency or satisfaction in dat very profession....
and secondly i dun mean to inferiorate ne qualification bt juss clearifyin Y i honour an ICAP's CA.....as for actuarials....its a real gud qualification but wid a couple f drawbaks despite much money dere!
dat is ....it mostly revolves around the insurance industry..thus limiting ure scope to only 1 area and secondly in our very society...i prefer avoiding a career in an insurance firm ....
kher just an idea ....and xactly, nor do I mean to be offensive!

bhai yaar. main cfa kay baray mein pooch pooch kar pagal ho gaya magar only one reply came. ab aap bata rahay ko its gives more then ca. can you give some more info abou it. whats the expected starting salaryof a part qualiifed cfa & is pak market saturated enough to give lakhs of rupees to cfa's????

bahi mere tum ziyadah confuse na ho....CFA aik finance ki qualification hai jo jis ko mil gayi samjho woh finance ka cheetah.....jaise CA karke admi accounts ka cheetah hojata hai....apni apni field ke lihaaz se ye dono top most qualifications hain....ye baat tum apne zehan mai bitha lo......koi aur professional qualification indono se ziyadah achi nahi.....actuaries aik alag qualification hai aur woh apni field mai no 1 hai....

ab sawal ye uthta hai ke cfa ki pakistan mai kiya market hai.....to meri jaan cfa salary ke lehaaz se CA se behatar hai aur actuaries se kam....pakistan mai sirf 55 charterholder hain jin mai se mushkil se 17 pakistan mai kaam karahe honge.....jo bhi bolta hai ke mai cfa hooon woh sirf aik ya do level pass karne ke baad ye bolta hai..pura charter bohat kam logon ke paas hai....charter ke liye aap ke paas 4 saal ka experience aur cfa ke teen level clear hone chayhe hain.....cfa ki entry requirement is 4 years bachelors ya masters...
ab agr tum ne cfa charter le liya to tum lakhon ki baat karahe ho....aik to cfa waise hi itne kam hain upar se pakistan mai finance ke qabil log jo sirf MBA's hain kafi kam hain....yehi waja hai ke CA's finance bhi sambhal rahe hain......
mere bhai cfa tab karo agar tum ne MBA kiya howa hai warna mushkil hoga lekin namumkin nahi.....mba plus cfa plus 4-5 years of experience tum kamazkam 1.5 lakhs utha rahe hoge....bas MBA achi jaga se karna.......aur us ke baad sky is the limit

aur kuch poochna ho to pooch lena mere bhai....mai khud to mba karaha hoon lekin qaulifications ke bare mai maloomat akhata karne ka keeda hai mujhe koi bhi qualification ke bare mai poochna ho bedadhak pooch lena.....mujhe to yahan forum pe jo log bachon wali baaten karahe hote hain us pe hansi aati hai....ab apne business maer bhai sahab ko lelo.....kehte hain ke CA accounts nahi finance ki studies hai....yaar give me a break business maker...ye baat dobara kabhi nahi bolna...warna log hanse ge......

last but not the least.... bhai logo mai agar koi remark deta hoon to woh personal nahi hota haaan agar koi irelevant baat kare ga to mai shayed thoda rude hojaon never mind.....

haan aur tume ne part qualified ka poocha tha...agar tum achi jaga se mba ho to cfa level 1 clear karne ke baad tumahri salary agar 30-40k se ziyadah nahi to is se kam bhi nahi hogi.....level 2 ke baad tum araam se 1 lakh cross karjao ge....dekho salary ke bare tumhe koi bhi sahi nahi bata sakta.....salary aap ke experience per bhi bohat count karti hai...ab agar tumahre paas 5 saal ka experience aur cfa level 2 hai to tum araam se aik se do lakh ke darmiyaan hoge...yehi level two agar tum experience ke beghair clear karo ge to 50 hazaar ke aas paas hi uthao ge....wiase cfa job experience ke saath hi karna chaye.....cfa level one clear karo aur phir job ke liye apply karo agar salary ziyadah na bhi mile to organization aur dept acha zarror mile ga jo bohat important hai.....

Hey sporty spice what do u mean by 'bachon wali baat', bachon wali bat to app kar rahay hain.....if ca is not the study of finance then i must suggest u to see the members list of icap, why its members are finance directors and finace managers and all that?secondly the subject and course we are studying(if u have seen it) is of finance, u can compare its course with that of CFA.

boss relax! bachon wali baton se meri murad kuch aur thi......well bro u said that CA is a study of finance and NOT accounting...(read your earlier post) that was the absurd part in it....i dont know whether ur doing CA or not but friend,obvioulsy they teach you some finance as accounts and finance has remained an integral part of business studies that complement each other but the major focus of CA is accounts and auditing no doubt about that.....tell me how much u study about financial derivatives? aand compare that with CFA...
the reason that why CA's are finance directors and so on.....i have discussed that in my ealiers posts...read it.

Hello there every body.
The thing is that college life the most memorable part of anybody's life, i myself have experienced it for 4 years and it was 1 of the best thing that ever happened to me.My 1st module of CA will start in August this year, I dont know about the fellowship and companionship in CA yet, but i know 1 thing that its true that in a module when u start getting know ppl around u........ u come to realise that its nearly the end of module, NOW come on 6 months is not a reasonable period to have some body around u and enjoy the company.
