Craze to Become Member of ICAEW

I am observing ever-increasing craze and enthusiasm among CA's and ACCA's to become the member of ICAEW. Although this is not a bad thing every professional accountant wants to get membership of maximum bodies of professional accountants and ICAEW is the most prestigious institute of charted accountants of world .My question is that why this type of trend not found among the ICMAPIANS towards CIMA. Although CIMA offers a lot many exemptions to ACMA's but I don’t now about a single ACMA or FCMA who is the member of CIMA.

We should rely on our own professional institutions.

I used to have a craze of becoming an ACA...until last night....when I met someone who was also like me and he couldnt get an articleship ANYWHERE!!! Now he is thinking about engineering after having spent about four years in this!!!
