Deferred Tax Controversy

Do you know of any controversy with regards to Deferred Tax in IAS 12 (Income Taxes) when it was being developed? If so, why this occured?

it's just a timing difference,jaisa k accounting depreciation kuch aur banta hai aur tax depreciation kuch aur banta hai, to dono k profit alag alag nikalte hain aur us pe tax b alag nikalta hai, ek wqt aisa aata hai jb yeh timing difference khtam ho jata hai,
