hi all,
i know that imputed is quite similar to compute but what actually is imputed? can give the meaning with example?
from finance, i may think like this.
example figure that directly derived from invoice, this is actual figure that not further derivation whereas if the figure is derived from some computation which is not direct (like invoice figure) then the figure is considered as imputed???

i still need the explanation of imputed with example.
thanks alot

IMPUTED COSTS refer to the cost of an asset, service, or company that is not physically recorded in any accounts but is implicit in the product.

IMPUTED VALUE is the logical or implicit value that is not recorded in any accounts, e.g., in the projection of annual figures, values are imputed for months for which the actual values are not yet known.
