Inaugurating the City Government Call Center the Sindh Governor Dr. Ishrat Abad as usual read out the bureaucracyâs drafted speech painting a picture as if a quick justice has come through this call center. He termed it a ltested centre of its kind which will help in timely redressal of peopleâs complaint. Such call centers, hot line complaint centers, special complaint cells are nothing but showing false glories and in particular to spend money on purchase of costly computer and networking. PTCL on huge expense established and on additional huge expense publicized the Hot Line Centralised On Line Complaint Center in Islamabad. Where has that gone. Internet cafes on huge expense were established in major GPOs where are those. There are more than dozen systems on which public money is being wasted in the name of attending of public complaints and providing them cheap at the door step justice but what practically and proportionately the nation has got. Mr. Governor first see your own home. You have established a similarly costly On Line Complaint Centre in your own Governor House which only registers complaints but never later to take any action or apprise the complainant any justice. Where are my complaints under Receipt No. PRB-2652-05 of year 2005, No. PRB-2759-06 of year 2006, PRB-3002-6 of 2006 and PRB-3637-07 of current year. The city local government call center is yet another similar money spending opportunity. The so called local city government which can not give any response from emails received on its earlier costly equipment, will it give proper final response on Call Centers. Fortunately both the Governor of Sindh and City Nazim are young blood hence very active and keep practically paining their legs inspecting public interest projects, taking at the spot decisions and issuing instructions. But unfortunately they are not aware of those under them who are to translate their wishes and instructions into actions are same dead wood never ever to care for the public and attend to their problems. His Excellency the Governor can test this by taking note of my above references complaints and enquire what did the bureaucracy in the complaint centre in his own Governor House practically progressed with my complaints. This will give taste of whole pudding including the city government call centers or so and so complaint center etc.
