The link posted by Sumaaan contains an individual's rating to different firms and there can ofcourse be biased built in to them. What I would like to know if there is any site basing the ratings of firms on actual research?
There cant be any scientific ratings for Pakistani firms because they are not bound by any law to publicly announce their number of clients or financial results. So the only ratings we can give are based purely on conjecture.

As far as I remember, there was one online accountancy magazine which ranked firms from all over the world... As soon as I find the link, I'll post it.

Ive been to this site and also at accountancyage.com, but these websites give the ratings of top firms for UK. Similarly, there are a few american websites which give global ratings for firms. Imran's query was about local ratings for which data is non-existant.
We can only hope and pray for the day when pakistani firms start announcing their financial results so that local ratings could also be established. But then, why would they.... ? Ratings would mean an environment of transparency and open and healthy competition among firms, and these buddhas want nothing of these.

Even in UK, Partnerships dont disclose their fee income. The fee income as compiled by the website (accountancy) is estimated. However, with the recent changes in legislation and regulatory framework this information is beginning to appear. For example, LLPs and Limited companies are required to disclose such information by law. But generally much of the profession is still being operated in the form of partnership and fee income is all estimated.
