how to handle module c tax and FA

i will be studying module c in this term and the teacher says that tax ia all ratta ,is that true?.please tell how to study tax and FA .the financial accounting teacher gives his own notes and does not practise from the book so in exam hall we dont know how to use the book is that a bad thing ?.please tell me how to handle both subjects..
