The revenue from Afghanistan cant be larger than Pakistan! Can it? Maybe some of the multinationals there now are paying them big money for the PWC name. If thats true than maybe working there would be a good thing, exposure with big multinational clients. But I'd still be scared to work there, stupid bloody Americans all over the place!!

6 months out of 3 years is not that bad, I hope Noman is right. Anyway I suppose if they offer us contract they will give us few more details. Im just praying for 2nd interview right now )

Idiotboy I dont know what to believe about firms! Different people say different things!! I had heard AFF people are strict and rude but from all the firms Ive visited so far they have been the best and most polite!! I heard KPMG had the most shughal mahol but now you're saying its strict! Everyone has different info! I think we shouldnt pay too much attention to it. Whatever the atmosphere we will have to adjust to it.

But there is no doubt that work load and hours are hard in all big 4, especially in AFF so Ive heard. Even during the interview the lady was saying ethics, hardwork and committment are the 3 most important things if you want to work there. She was telling me its normal to stay extra hours. And imagine when we'll have to do module E and F along with firm work. Phew! I guess that what makes CA hard!!

CA isi liya tu hard ha ) work along with study !! if we have to study ONLY , no working , CA is easier than ACCA in terms of commitment and course structure and exams format !!

Yep, Im looking forward to seeing if ICAP has a paper anywhere near as difficult as P2, that was truly horrible paper!! I still dont know how I passed it [D]

Bus yar now next week the tension and wait will be for 2nd interview( and hopefully your first). This Afghanistan thing has me worried though, like already there wasnt enough to be anxious about!!

Otherwise there's always the KPMG test. That is if they call! Hopefully that receptionist guy wont have forgotten about our CVs. Haha, everything is so bloody uncertain these days! I just want to join any firm and end this!! [0]

ICAP ka i guess sirf LAW tough ha P ... man thats the application of LAW S .. really tough man !! plus TAX will give us alot of issues if we join ICAP S ... lets see kya hota ha

Baki all we have read , one paper is similar to p5 i guess in part D, IS/IT audit is somehow like P3, else Audit and Management like P7 and F9 !!

Yes I guess you are right, patience is a virtue! I think after we get into firms inshAllah we will remember these times when we were free and not worried about work and exams. That is the nature of man )

By the way, when you want to KPMG last week did you apply in other ,smaller, firms as well? What if, God forbid, we dont make it in KPMG or Deloitte either, and the recruitment time for smaller firms ends too? Then we'll be stuck till November!!! Do you know anything about smaller firms processes??

Haha, dont forget Deloitte next month, there's hope there as well. Do you think its better to wait 6 months rather than join a smaller firm? I think we should try other reputable firms like Anjum Asim and Hussain Rathore, one or two others too I forgot. I just couldnt find them lol! If anyone knows there location please please tell me!!!

I guess next step for AFF will be deciding which students they will ask for 2nd interview?? So I guess some 'passengers will be dropped' )From tomorrow anxious waiting starts again, hopefully also for KPMG test call.

Noauman bhai, you seem to know people who went to Afhganistan, do you know to what extent firm covers costs of travel stay etc and what extent trainee is expected too? I know Im thinking bit far ahead but it will be good if I have thinking time right now before 2nd interview. In case after that they ask me to join on basis of whether i will go to kabul or not.

Nope, AFF have taken 2 weeks between every stage so Im still not giving up on hope for 2nd call. But yeah it is worrying!!

I guess the test might not be on Friday, lets see.

If anyone else is involved in AFF, KPMG recruitment process please keep us informed. I remember one other guy who came on this thread who had applied in AFF here.

Well your incident is scaring me, now Im worried they might call me and somehow I wont get the call. At least I dont have Zong. )

I agree they should tell us whether we are selected or not, even a simple text would do. But Ive heard this is normal practice these days so we'd better get used to it.

Yar 12th May is a long time away!! I dont know if they will wait that long. I think they induct you but the training starts later after the result, I think it will start from 1 June. But chalo lets see. I think if next week there's no call I'll take Mr Ajmal's number from you and ask him about the situation.

I wonder what taking KPMG so long, Im afraid that guy didnt forward our CVs. If they plan on inducting after the result their test at least should have been taken by now. Same goes for Deloitte. Pata nahi kia ho raha ha yar!!!!

for the second interview yet...So never give up yar and keep faith
in Allah.

idiotboy, i am also very worried that my number might be busy when they call
and so THEY reject me....it`s really scary.But it might have happened for the GOOD yar. ..
Did you made any complain to their
manager HR or someone? I once met him and he seemed to be very cooperative. i think
his name was Haider Abbas.
