Yeah Azeem is right... the peeri moreedi concept has its roots into the ''sufism movement''.... Lets not forget that majority of South Asia was converted to Islam through these sufi - mystics.
However,one must always remember the basic tenants of Islam when persuing deoobandi or barelwi thought of schools (i mean any school of thoughts)
Grave worshipping is not part of the ''sufism'''concept''. I would recommend you to read ''Kashf al majoob'' by Ali Usman Al Jullabbi Al Hajweri (Data Gunj Buksh). There are various Urdu, English and (ofcourse) persian editions in the market.
