Hello everyone. I have currently given my CA module D exams from ICAP in karachi. I also plan to start ACCA one i get in the firm..
firstly, is it possible.. can i manage ACCA with firm life? if i go to Deloitte or Kpmg or GT or BDO? i plan to study privately, that is myself from the acca books..
what is the procedure for getting registered with acca. how can i start the journey to becoming acca from my doorstep. please guide me step by step.
i also have done 2 years bcom from KU. during research, i found out that bcom and ca foundation are acceptable entry routes, ie i can start with acca after i have done these.. this means i can start acca from f1. but i was thinking what about doing fia? after bcom, all my fia papers get exempted, and i have to attempt only 2 more exams to get cat. and after cat, i can start acca from paper f4. this way i will have fia certificate, cat certificate and will also start acca from f4 and not f1. is this right? do they give certificates on exemptions?
moreover, if anyone here is from the big4, i would like to know about my approach. i applied in all big 4 firms, but ey hasnt called me for test even (this is their selection criteria for test.they randomly select ppl and i wasnt a lucky candidate for them). aff promised me a second interview, but hasnt called me yet. their training starts from monday ie 17th october. so i have lost hope of aff too. Do aff ppl keep taking students till result? should i still expect to get into aff?
kpmg hasnt started calling my batch mates. thats what is in my knowledge, i may be wrong, but i havnt got kpmg call yet. deloitte (MYASCO) has called me once, and im waiting for second interview. what should i do, please guide me. should i go to myasco, and then leave after i get a call from kpmg or something? what to do..please help me!
