My city is Islamabad. I belong from Twin City Rawalpindi and Islamabad. I born in Rawalpind city but has been living in Islamabad for more than 16 years. Majority of my relatives live in Rawalpindi. Rawalpindi Islamad are twin cities and are the combination of Old and New.
Islamabad is the only city of Pakistan which was established after planning it is a beautiful city of country as well as ASIA. The Faisal Mosque in Islamabad is the largest mosque in Pakistan and South Asia and the sixth largest mosque in the world its a wonder of islamic world and considered as a miracle. Margalla hills surround a large area of Islamabad. There are seven public sector universities in Islamabad. Quality of education is very high in Islamic. Its a city of civilized,well mannered and well educated people.
Rawalpindi is famous for Desi food like nehari, haleem and pay, seekh kabab and lot many traditional food. Old areas of Rawalpindi are as old as the old streets of Lahore are old. Rajal Bazar, Moti Bazar, Bhabra Bazar, Kashmiri Bazar, Kohati Bazar, Nankari Bazar, Sabzi Mandi and Bara are connected with each other. For new persons who dont have knowledge of Rawalpini its difficult to segeregate these Bazars they ussually call whole area of bazars Raja Bazar.Pindi is full of markets start from Pirwdahy bus stand all area of Pirwdahi is full of shops at the go forwanrd after some traveling Area of Raja Bazar will start thosands of shops and different bazar are here. when will you move foreward you will reach at committee chowk and from committee chowk to Sadar the area is full of shops and Sadar is also a big market. Ghakkar plaza was a big shopping mall of sadar. Ghakkar paza was full of man wear but it has destroyed due to fire. I always purchased my cloths from Ghakkar Plaza. But still there are hundreds of shop in Sadar.
Commercial market sattelite town and many other market also increase the beauty of rawalpindi. But there are only few parks and picknic spots in Rawalpindi.
One person has written several peragraphs about kashmir. Whereas I wrote only two peras about my cities. Keep it in mind Rwp and Islamabad are two different cities but are twin.
