I don't work in FRSH but some of my AFR class-fellows are from FRSH.Apparently ACCA candidates only get 10,000 if they have passed Advanced Tax and Audit. We have only heard this about FRSH Isb;the rest of the Big 4 don't pay more than the ICAP stipend as far as we have heard.
Once it came to mind that ACCA Students should also have some sort of Training Agreement with the firm, which should detail the monthly stipend and other benefits including paid study leaves and medical leaves.
When asked a high ranked official in ACCA Lahore Office, his reply was that
"We don't want our students to be hanged by their necks"

I tell you that remaining at Nasir Javaid Maqsood Imran Chartered Accountants, you have many many more and big opportunity than at big 4. First of all you have not to wait very much to become senior as in big four. Secondly in Big firms you are fixed in only one department i.e. Auditing, Taxation, Corporate, or ERP and your training have been passed in remaining in that department only. While in Nasir Javaid Maqsood Imran you are forced to do and complete all kinds of work including Book keeping, Audit, Taxation, Corporate, Stock take assignments, Asset verification assignments at senior level. And you are become expert in all these areas. I admit that big 4 have a lot of big clients but what benefit those big clients give to a student. A student can complete three or four clients in his career, and a student can do those big clients too in Nasir Javaid Maqsood Imran Chartered Accountants.
Dear who told u that in BIG 4 firms u dunt get exposure to other fields. if u hv said this few yrs back i might agree wth u bt the reality is reverse to it as its mandatory to rotate fields and atleast AFF do follow that. and now about why big clients (specially listed clients
) r useful to trainees dear a simple word is "exposure"
doing audit of NGO is nt going to help trainee or a client having few heads of income/expenses.
Dear Mr. Bilal Sardar. May I know your introduction? What is your CA status? In which module you are? What is your training organization? And how much time have you spent there? How many clients have you touched yet?
i'v passed 10 pprs at present of CA n i've spent 1 month in firm till now n yes if u want to compare ur firm wth A.F.Ferguson then i'm here to do that bcz i know pros n cons of A.F.Ferguson vry well
Dear Mr. Bilal Sardar. There are 2 papers in Module A, 3 in B, 3 in C and 4 in D. This means you have not completed CA Intermediate and passed 10 papers out of 12. And since you have been in the firm for only one month, this means you have not completed the probation period yet and you are not a registered student. I am very shocked to listen that a student who has not passed his CA intermediate examination is working in AF Ferguson. I have a lot of friends who passed their CA intermediate exam in first attempt, and even one of them go certificate of merit in Audit paper, could not get articles in AF Ferguson due to non availability of reference. So first of all pass at least one year in that firm and after that you would be able to comment. Wish you all the best.
@ aminahsan
dear all that matters is confidence n how u present urself to the interviewee. Getting merit certificate is not a gurantee that the person is able enough to do evrythng. Dear y should i wait for year to comment do u hv solid reason 4 tht. off course u dunt hv.
avoid saying others not to post here rather u better defend ur firm
Mr. lost if you are in Islamabad and want to register with ICAEW. Contact office, they arrange your registration through lahore office, while you remain at Islamabad office
