I have received this e-mail from ICAEW and on basis of this I can say That PIBF is not telling the truth .

Please quote the following reference on all correspondence relating to this query 391-315087

Dear Sir

Thank you for your enquiry.

Only the advanced stage examinations can be sat in Pakistan at the moment.

Please do not hesitate to get in contact if you have any further questions quoting the above reference number.

Regards

Kathleen McLinton

I dont know why ICAEW sent this email to you but I am sitting my Professional Level exams for Audit and Tax in Pakistan at the British Council Lahore in December 2009.

Since I am an ICAEW registered Trainee when I login at their wesbite with my account and click apply for exams online the following details appear.

Exams Application Page

Available Examination Sessions

The following examination sessions are currently available to you. Please select the examination sessions at which you wish to sit papers. Details of these papers will be displayed on the next page.

Available Examination Sessions

Session Name Session Date

Advanced Stage November 2009
<b>Professional Stage December 2009</b>

When I select the Professional Stage and Click Next the following list of available papers come (Since I am CIMA so I have been exempted all other exams except Audit and Tax so only these two papers are left attemptable)

Available Papers

The following is a list of all papers available to you in the sessions that you have selected. Please select the papers that you wish to sit making sure that you choose the correct variant for each one.

Professional Stage - December 2009
New Syllabus Papers
Paper Name Date Time Fee Select
<b>Audit and Assurance (AAA) 08 December 2009 1330 - 1600 £80.00
Taxation (ATX) 09 December 2009 0930 - 1200 £80.00 </b>

Sorry the copy paste in the forum doesnot put the words in the correct arranging

Yes I have seen the email. Usually contact persons send previously prepared emails, they simply copy and paste. Wait for sometime until they officially announce the new policy. The email you are referring to is the one I had also received exactly with the same wording about 6 months ago which indicates they just copy paste. Also if you look in the list of ICAEW Partners in learning PIBF comes under the list of institutes which are developing their courses

ICAEW website says "Organisations that have been awarded Partner in <b>Learning status with tuition programme/s currently in development."</b>

http//www.icaew.com/index.cfm/route/165513/icaew_ga/en/my_ICAEW/Learning_partners/ICAEW_tutors/Partner_in_Learning_scheme/ICAEW_Partners_in_Learning

OSAMA and UZAIR Ch,PIBF is not registering students for its 2nd batch fot the problem that ICAEW is clear whether it will allow all papers in pakistan or not.

Uzair Ch how much stipend do they give to ICAEW trainees? Answer would be appreciated
Adeel that means you haven't given P6 and P7. Give them in ACCA and get tax and audit exemptions from ICAEW. ACCA books are readily available
