Considering from a very limited scope, bearing in mind KSE plays an important role, here's what the KSE website says
"Karachi Stock Exchange has been declared as the "Best Performing Stock Market of The World For the year 2002". As on February 2004, 697 companies are listed with a market capitalization of Rs. 1,262.9 billion (US$ 22.0 billion) having listed capital of Rs. 358.9 billion ( US$ 6.3 billion ). The KSE 100 Index touched at 4907.94 on February 10, 2004."
So I guess we're not stagnant or declining.

A common man has nothing to do with the KSE hundred index's record, level of foreing xchange reserves etc etc etc, thats all rubbish,
One day he faces the price of petrol say Rs.30 and after some days it is Rs.35, with his income stagnant, what benefits he will get from these fake economic indicators.
the economy is said to be in prosperity if the standard of living of the people and per capita income increases day by day. (not like Pakistan where both these things are limited to 3 to 5 % of the total population)
