Uzair,
You have very rightly explained the situation where great deal of candidates are wishing to step in this profession.
There was a time when people at UK used to refer the CA (ICAEW) Exam days as "suicide days". Now accountancy is considered one of the easiest fields at UK.
Over-commercialism, revenues war and number game coupled with indecent and illogical MRAs are pushing the overall profession into undesired depths.
Major damage has been caused by so-called "global" designations which aim nothing but to squeeze out the resources of poor green-grass dreaming people.
The claimants and advocates of globalized designations never feel how badly these have affected the quality. I am not talking about a few intelligent people produced every year. Majority is getting ruined and the people who are looting the resources of this majority by setting up black-holes (colleges and institutes etc) don't realize what the damage is being done to the future of this profession.
Students don't understand why these people push them to run behind a red signal which ultimately proves to be a non-stationary element.
Their objective of course is
to make money.
I always am of the view that the decision about career is the most important decision of the life. I always request people to don't ask the students to rush behind a non-stationary red signal. Some people oftenly object my words; may they be among the money makers or have gone through the experiences of entirely a different set up.
The entry to accountancy profession is currently witnessing the masses rushing in. We must realize that none of the quests is won by the masses. Here lies the fact of life.
Regards,
Kamran.
