Question.. CIMA and CA qualified individuals...

I'm currently an ACCA student... I've lately seen a lot of people getting into CA and ACCA coz of the government's policy to extend all bachelor degrees from 2 to 4 years... Anyhow, the question is, with all this sudden boost of students enrolling themselves for CA, will ICAP amend its rules and let more students pass than the average?... I mean like its so obvious that ICAP only allows a specific number of students to clear their examinations, so will it still be the same or will ICAP too respond to the situation by allowing more students to clear their examinations and hence invite more people to join CA?

Another question... do CIMA qualified individuals earn more than CA's?...

Previously I had heard, that CA's can get a job extremely easily anywhere in the world where their degree is accepted, for eg the MiddleEast... But now it seems as if almost every other person is considering to do CA, or so it seems to me... Coz previously there were hardly any people I knew who were doing CA... So will that in any way saturate the field of CA?

No body know the policy of ICAP (except the Babas e ICAP) about the policy of passing CAs, as far as my knowledge is concerned the ICAP is following the concept of economics of Demand and Supply, so whenever there is demand for CAs in the market then it will qualify that much CAs according to the market requirement, this is the only reason that CA carries too much worth, otherwise u can see the position of CA in india, available in Rs.5,000 - Rs.10,000/- only,

from india i remember a joke,which my partner told me once,

In Banglore, there is Church exactly in front of the Intitute of Chartered Accountants, on the main gate of the church a statment is written that
"GOD NEVER FAILS"
somebody wrote below this a new statments that

"HE NEVER SITS IN CA EXAMS" <img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>

so as far as earning of CIMAs is concerned, they are earning more than CAs but not in pakistan,
In pakistan it is nothing more than a dream, which may come true in near future.

yar smraza, did you have to interfere??? and cant you see, this post has already been read 172 times, compared to the 5 (excluding this one) responses it has attracted, so you can well judge the interest. (which is too high, 'women in accountancy' been read 190 times for 25 responses, that's 38 times read, for 5 responses)

so you two pls. carry on, and we'll see a fourth digit added to 'number of times read' statistic. <img src=icon_smile.gif border=0 align=middle>
