Sir Kamran sahib Ihave told youm before that I am an ACCA affiliate and I am interested in doing ICAEW ande I want to see your comments on the earnings of ICAEW auditor in uk.
You did not mention in your above post regarding ICAEW or salaries in UK etc. At Pakistan, if you are ICAEW qualified, you are equally accepted and are given membership of ICAP without any exam or test. However, if you want to join audit practice as a partner of some CA firm in Pakistan, you will have to clear certain papers, most probably pertaining to local laws. However, there is no difference in salaries level for CA from ICAP or CA from ICAEW, when you seek job here in Pakistan. You may find better oppurtunity if you are ICAEW qualified.
As far as CA jobs of ICAEW qualified people at UK are concerned, I dont know in much detail, as I have not so far personally visited UK. I hope to do so in very near future, then I may be in some better position to comment. However, since some of my ICAP qualified friends are there at UK and I have discussed similar issues with them, I estimate that the minimum starting pay (for fresh professional) at UK for ICAEW qualified would not be less than 50,000 sterling pounds per annum. I, however, know that ICAEW qualified people are earning much more than this threshhold figure. I have seen job advertisements of 100,000 to 125,000 sterling pounds per annum for ICAEW CAs in UK.
One of my friends, who is ICAP qualified, is working at some food manufacturing company at UK. He has almost 8 to 9 years experience in total with almost 5 years experience of UK. He is currently drawing more than USD 165,000 per annum at his job. (this is one year old figure). SInce his company is some multinational, therefore, his salary is in US Dollars.
ACCA is growing in Pakistan at the moment and you can certainly see job advertisments for ACCAs as well.
I have never been against any qualification, but I dont like those who do ACCA just becoz they feel sour grapes at ICAP exams. If some one as a matter of choice do ACCA, it is great. But if one criticises ICAP for its sour grapes, and then go far doing ACCA, then it does not appeal. The thing is just to be understood.
One thing is certain, you cannot compare ACCAs at the moment with CAs as far as remuneration is concerned, at least in Pakistan. I have similar opinion about other countries but I dont go in much details.
The above lines however dont mean that ACCA cannot get good salaries. They can and in some cases they are getting it. They may need to sacrifice in the start when they join, but if they prove theirselves, they get the progress.
An ACCA affiliate was my student while he was doing ACCA. After becoming qualified affiliate, we were paying him Rs. 15,000. Then it was enhanced to Rs 20,000 within one year. After that he joined a beverage industry at Rs 28,000. And now just after three months of joining his job, I have offered him to rejoin me at Rs 40,000 per month plus 1000 CC car (as I want him to be relocated to our office at some other city). This is becoz he was a good and obedient professional. However, he is demanding further better and he can certainly get further better with the passage of time.
This is just an example. There is no cap on earning levels. Earning depends upon fate. There may be the cases where some ACCAs might be getting Rs 100,000 or more, with the passage of time and with getting good exposure and proving their capabilities.
Wow Kamran Bhai, nice n' true reflection of my feelings. Hats down for my brother....
BTW, how do you understand Saraaiki????? I wish we can exchange our "brains". I wish.... )
Oh I just remebered another thing, you say that you are a pathan by caste, live in punjab for over 100 years and to add to this you know saraaiki too. What's this? I think ap ne wohi kaam kia hai
Cheen-o-Arab hamara, Hindustan hamara
Hum muslim hain sara jahan hamara....
I dont claim to have detailed knowledge of all languages of Pakistan but I always try to hear poetry and such aarifana/other kalaam in various languages through specific singers. Now a days I am watching sindhi tv channel KTN for understanding SIndhi language.
It's nice if we understand what our other brothers / sisters speak in this country.
There is no objection on exchanging good thoughts for each other but sir some attention and remarks on the point for which I asked my question to Mr KAMRAN ACA
So Mr. Kamran is a multi dynamic personality, alongwith, accontancy he also have got interest in various other things. And learning Sindhi, wow, it shows his deep interest in learning our languages.
Astute I am not Saraiki, however, I also can understand Mansoor Malangi, not all but can grab the main point often. Aur jab apko saraiki samajh nahin aati then how did u commend Kamran for his selection, ya its based on the logic ke Kamran sb ne keh dia tou sahi hi ho ga.
There is no room for feeling odd the friendly comment and compliments. You cant say it. Yes, you do whatever u like I never stopped u or asked u to stop.
Its quite suspecious that you bring my name in whatever discussion u like despite there had been no reference of mine in such discussion but at ur turn your cheeks get red whenever I give you any such compliments.
These compliments have not been given on returnable basis. Keep them.
