Main ne yeh route bataya tha k
after being ACCA affiliate (with P6 and P7 pass) get 12 exemptions in ICAEW.Pass 3 remaining ICAEW exams(and obviously training) and become ICAEW member.
After that u can get ICAP membership without passing a single paper.But u would not have public practice rights in Pakistan.Agar job kerni hai to intna kafi hai.To get public practice rights u would be required to pass 2 papers of CA(ICAP).These papers r Law(E module) and Tax(F module)(I don't remember exact names).Yeh sab ap ICAP say confirm ker sakte hain.
And for stipend issue main ne bhi yehi suna hai k koi extra stipend nahi milta ICAEW trainees ko(maybe koi firm dati ho).
BTW after getting ICAP membership one can relinquish his previous ACCA/ICAEW membership(if he so desires because it might be expensive to maintain 3).ICAP does not demand u k aap un bodies k membership bhi maintain karo jin ki base pe exemptions li hain(Few foreign bodies do demand such thing).

Another route is to continue with ACCA. After becoming a member of ACCA, the ICAEW's training is reduced to two years. A further two years training and you won't even need to give the 3 papers of ICAEW. So in total it makes 5years post-qualification experience/training for ACCA affiliate

Dard u have mixed 2 routes.
1)ICAEW training is reduced to 2 years for full ACCA members but they still r required to pass 3 ICAEW papers.
2)if a FULL ACCA member completes further 5 years experience(total 8 years experience) then he can join ICAEW without passing Papers through CCAB route.But references from 2 ICAEW members r required and some other criteria also.This post qualification 5 years experience means 5 years experience after full ACCA membership(not after being an affiliate)

oh come on.... be an academic boy!!! ye jo books aap log parhte ho na ye aasman se nahi utartieen in ko accountants nahi managers banate hain..... and mostly comeout after research and universities basically do research not Accountants....

@adilmustaq Man i am feeling ok cuz i think that was right decision at right time!!!and i also want other guys follow this decision if they cannot continue doing CA, CUZ dunya main har insan CA nahi... and life is not that long that we have to put our best to make this life that better.... after doing CA a guy becomes 26-28 at least... you left with 22-25 years to live or us main b aap yehi fiqar karo k I am the best and har cheez excellence pe ho... so sirf Money making and only making one espect of life right cannot give you all the pleasures of life... something is called Human behaviour, Human resource management... ye kam IK CA banda nahi karsakta... cuz he dont know about that... Motivation and Happiness can Increase your output by double even but A CA or ACCA learns only applying Checks and controls.... so thats life and it is very limited time... jis ko jo passand hey ya jitne effor karta hae wo kare.... I conclude saying that its not necessary k Membership of best institute only will give you promotion, its ones attitude and devotion that counts... ( sorry for disturbance you guys continue fighting on ACCA and CA)

Atif, kindly don't talk about anything you don't know about. The "checks and controls" you mentioned are related to AUDIT, whereas Accountancy is much wider than this
The things which CHARTERED ACCOUNTANTS do can't be done by MBAs. There is a difference between "accountant" and "chartered accountant or similar"
MBA or Phd in management is a degree which anyone can persue, irrespective of their career fields, as it takes management and leadership skills to the next level. HR and Human behaviour are totally different fields, so you can't say "accountants ye kaam nahin kar sakte". Accountants to doctors k kaam bhi nahin kar sakte, nor can doctors do the work of Chartered Accountants

Bhai sahab, lagta hai aapko bohot bari ghalatfehmi hai. Qualified Chartered Accountants start their careers with a managerial level post. So they are the managers too. Managers sirf job title se he nahin bante, job responsibilities se bante hain

Dont talk about Finance or Accounts department only.... Me talking about international level, or ye Accountancy bodies to some 50 years hoe hain k bani hain finance ko to ejad hoe hee abit 30 40 years hoe hain.....CFA is research type of field.... they are not accountants, The better is one who is creating something new or adding and modifying thing...
Look i dont wana make any sort of confusion or you may say taking side or opposing someone but wana share my observation about these... cuz otherwise you will hear in PK that every seat is taken by CAs.( if they are taking, its because of their excellence) as our country is unable to produce Finance Scholars and researcher.. so thats why these areas are unexplored yet...There should be more Govt owned Business Schools and Accountancy Universities rather guiding our whole youth towards ACCA.
Planning is not there!!! who will guide us?? jobs are not here? Kia ham sari zindagi isi chkkar main pare rahen ka Ye examption le lo ye hogaya to ab wo kar lo??..... why not Govt Plans when they know there are bulk of students waiting for internships and jobs??

First proper MBA program was offered by Harvard University in 1908.While first local accounting body was formed in 1854(though it was not a national one) and ICAEW was formed in 1880(charter).
Nobody would deny the worth of MBA.But in first world countries MBA is offered after a minimum of 3 years bachelor(even some demand 4 years) and few years experience(though all don't demand experience).Even Indian Business schools demand 3 years degrees atleast.While here in Pakistan MBA could be done after 2 years degree.In first world they consider it equal to their bachelors.
If u compare ur university's(I think u r from Arid agri) curriculum with that of LUMS,IBA,LSE, there would be huge difference.Even there is greater market acceptability for Punjab uni,karachi uni then other Public sector universities.
Jo aap nay kaha k new govt owned business school open honey chaye.I agree but quality must not be compromised.Uni of Sargodha has given affiliation for MBA and MCOM to various colleges.I personally have knowledge of a college where there is just 1 faculty member who has done MCOM.All other teachers there r Bcomers or MA Islamiat,english etc and they teach MCOM students and it is a govt commerce college.
Wikipedia site states that IBA KARACHI was the first business school opened in ASIA.But now it really lags behind others in terms of rankings.
Pakistani business schools(except very few) really need to upgrade and improve the quality of curriculum to compete with other int. schools if INTERNATIONAL PROSPECTIVE is considered.

Atif, if you don't consider CHARTERED ACCOUNTANTS as doing research, on what basis you say CFAs are researchers? CFA is a specialised qualification in investment, of which a little part is dealt with in Accountancy too. Had there been no "research" and work, there wouldn't have been any revised and updated accounting and auditing standard today
Pakistan lags far behind in academic education when compared internationally. We don't have any university in the top 1000, let alone 100! Our country really needs to focus on this area

HEC recognize this Bsc(OBU) as 16 years education(equal to Pakistani 4 years Bachelor(hons) degrees) if the candidate has also passed A LEVELS earlier.If the candidate has passed Pakistani Fsc/ICOM etc then HEC recognize this as 15 years education.
Another condition is that student must have passed ACCA's first 9 papers(F1 to 9) in a college(not through self study) and have attended 80% lectures for each subject.You have to prove 80% attendence in a college for papers(F1 to 9).If exemptions r claimed then attendence in remaining papers(other then those exempted) is required.

on Hec Website degree attestation link is available.If u have got a degree then follow the steps and fill the form and u will get the result after few days.
But if u just want to inquire about a degree recognition or the authencity(recognition) of a university(foreign or local) then email them or call them(their degree attestation department).Email addresses r available at their site.
