We are getting a bit of the topic here now, Pakistan has got aid or military assistance as you may like to call it for a lot of other reason, Kashmir ofcourse has not been one of them. Afghanistan, Soviet Union, Strategic positioning. USA Vs. China thing and so on. Its definately not been about Kashmir. Shahih may be refering to the little amount that comes in through NGO's but has nothing to do with the Goverment of Pakistan. Other aid programs are similar to any other that may come to the Northern Areas or othe under privileged areas.
Not many people like this when I say this. But its Kashmiris who have taken U turns whenever things brought itself towards a possibility of joining Pakistan. Remember the 1965 war, Field Marshall Ayub's clandensite overt mission involved crossing the Lino of control/ceasefire and aiding an uprising against India. Ofcourse, what he met was ZERO reaction from the Kashmiris. Ofcourse the Indians reacted by crossing the International border at Lahore and we all know what happened next!
