There was a topic in this forum, and a student of ACCA was doing ICAEW training in one of the BIG FOUR. He had said they only give you an ICAEW contract once you have worked with them for a year as ACCA trainee.
I don't know why the firms here are so reluctant to give out ICAEW contracts. They don't pay any exam fee, nor any tuition fee or exam fee. It's beneficial for them to give it out, since the trainee will stick to them for three years.
