My friends, ours is the only field in which there is total uncertainty about a person's future even after six years of hardwork and study!! I mean ke isnaan jiss level of uncertainty par 6 saal pehle khara hua hota hai, bilkul waisey hi 6 saal baad bhi hota hai. And its just because of this totally non-understandable policy of the ICAP junta.
No other profession has this much uncertainty about it. I mean, i havent ever seen a person spending six years in a profession and not eventually getting his degree/certification. Doctors, engineers, IT specialists, MBAs all get their degrees in the end. But this is not the case with us poor CAs!
My teacher, now a very renowned RAET director spent around 16 years appearing in ICAP papers before finally succeeding. I wonder what thoughts must go through his mind when he used to see ICAP result and see that his students got passed and he did not. I remember the time when i qualified, i couldnt even face him and tell him that i passed because he hadn't. But he was himself so gracious in calling me up and congratulating me and i will never forget that. A hallmark of a true gentleman!
