Well guys its Tuesday and still no word!! Any news!! What in the world is KPMG doing? Are they going to what for the result before announcing test??

Which firm is best for trainees as for as behaviors are concerned?

Yar seriously no experience on my side, or any of my close
friends or relatives.Only rumors.I think if some bad event occurs with
one person he starts complaining about the firm without bothering
about his mistake.
So better wait till we are hired by some firm.
And i also guess no one will EvER reject an offer to join a BIG firm
simply because he has heard bad about it from anyone.What u guys say?

I agree. There are good and not so good people everywhere. You will have good and bad experiences no matter where you go. These days if you get the chance to join a firm dont think too much just do it!!

Still if you insist based on what Ive heard EY is supposed to be good to its trainees, in terms of study leave given, stipends and environment. Life at places like KPMG and AFF is thought to be harder. Still different people have different stories and experiences and Ive heard contrasting views about all firms.

@Aimad , hey kaisa ha yaar ??? I dont know i had some weird kind of problem accessing this website .. some HTTP 500 internal error or something like that ... dont know what it was...

kahir , i got some news.. its a nightmare , but we have to believe it ... KPMG is not calling any ACCA's now ... jinhoun nay submit kiya tha CV late , now chuti kerain !! .... now only CA's will be hired after 12th May ...

I went to KPMG on monday with my friend , he had to submit his CV , that desk man simply rejected and said no more ACCA's ... come in next session , then i asked abt the test about those who already have submitted their CV's , he rudely said that no more test even !! ...

Crap. We keep getting reminders of what a pathetic nation we are, and why we are so. They lied to our face. In March the HR head himself told me to come in May. Shame on them. InshAllah we will get articleships wherever Allah has written it for us, I dont really mind if they dont hire us, but it feels sad to see professional people behaving this way.

Yar I had the problems with the site too, there must have been some sort of server problem.

Maybe they are not taking CVs any more but inshallah the process of hiring acca's won't be over yet.An acca affiliate I know got in KPMG Islbd last year in May so don't lose hope everyone even if apparently it seems that recruitment is over.

Aimaad & idiotboy, why didn't you two started looking for articleship after becoming part-qualified? Because, God Forbid, if you don't get hired by any firm in this session, then you will have to wait another 5 months or so. That would waste alot of time, isn't it? That's why I am already looking to start my articles somewhere and I will complete the rest of my papers along with my articles. Is tarah I think time waste nahin hoga. INSHALLAH I am hopeful I'll get recruited somewhere. Let's see. And I think both of you should visit Karachi and Lahore and drop your CV's here as well. Because I have asked a couple of people and they say it is not difficult to get transfered. Suppose you get inducted in KPMG Karachi, you can try and get yourself transferred to the Islamabad office later. Don't waste time guys !!!! Good Luck !!!

Haroon. My plan was to do CA, so even if I had started articleship before it wouldnt have counted towards my 3 year CA experience. Also I thought it would affect my studies, I wanted to finish ACCA as quickly as possible. I did this in 2.5 years which I was happy with. But it seems that doesnt matter much. EY hired part qualified students but they didnt even call me for test!! Now what kind of logic is that??

I guess its too late for dropping CVs in other cities now, the application processes are over even if the recruitment isnt. Unless you know of some firms then tell me.

In fact if anyone knows about some firms, other than big 4, that recruit after CA result and thus have not so far hired please please let me know! It could save 6 months of ours!!! I applied in BDO and KMR but if someone call tell me about Anjum Asim and Hussain Rathore and other firms please do so!!

Deloitte seems to be the only hope left now. And of course Im praying for second interview at AFF. It will be 2 weeks on wednesday since first interview so Im getting nervous!! I hope they are waiting for CA result and havent hired already! If there's no word till friday i guess we had better call and ask them.

@ Aimad , Deloittee nay b agar call kerni hoti tu kab ki aa jati yaar call ... i hate all this system now ... kabhi call ati hi nahin ha , kabhi kahtay hain call ki u didn't respond , kabhi kahtay hain next month hogi selection , then CA walay ghus jatay hain , i mean are we that much featherbrained ???

Mughey tu ab sachi say koi omeed nazar nahin aa rahi and after 12th of may , then its IMPOSSIBLE .. and guess what ?? E&Y , mugehy b call nahin ai !! D i mean its like a amusement to me now !! Part 2 ka students are working as trainees in E&Y and ACCA AFFILIATES DIDNT GET THE DAMN CALL D ... what kind of world we are living in by the way ??? same thing happened with 2 other people i know ...

KMR ka b quota pora ho chuka ha yaar !! like i told u , i have no hope now ... this hope wasted my 1 month !! it would be better if i'd join a call centre P !!

I think you misunderstood AA, by 'if the its truth' he doesnt mean that you are lying but that the KPMG person who told you this really knows what he's saying. He said there's a chance this might not happen since last year he himself got inducted in May as an ACCA. Chill maro yar )

Yar Deloitte said they will start recruitment after result! They lied too?? What I dont understand is that as affiliates these people dont even bother to call us for test?? Its amazing. For me AFF is the only hope then I guess, and its 2 weeks now almost and so even that hope is fading. Dont know what I will do otherwise. I worked so hard and gave 4 papers in December because I didnt want to waste 6 months extra. Now I guess that wasnt really in my hands. Its utterly disappointing.

Aimaad and idiotboy, try industries if you don't get recruited in any firm. They mostly hire you for 9-12 months. You can get experience from firms later. That's what I'll do. And about E & Y hiring ACCA Finalists and not even calling ACCA Affiliates for tests is totally insane.
