Dears,

I always support the idea of students to do CA instead of ACCA. Reasons could be enormous and have been time and again discussed.

If CA Inter is preferred over ACCA, it has nothing to do with politics at large. I agree that there could be so many considerations and reasons but every person could not be called as biased in this world. If this is really a situation that CA inter is preferred over ACCA qualified, then it again supports my conclusion of career for a new comer. ACCAs and their chapter should re-think the strategies.

Last day I met the vice president of world's one of the top investment companies on lunch. He is a Pkaistani (from USA) and has remarkable qualifications. I just don't want to put into picture the comments I got from him regarding ACCAs and ACMAs.

However, I wish better future to ACCA students.

The purpose of curriculum comparion was not to appeal more exemptions from ICAP. A very simple reason and as said by me earlier that the only reason for making questions on ICAP is their political game and prejudiced policies against ACCAs that can't be denied by any sensible person.

If ACCA students are learning the same contents and in some case much better than ICAP then why they are not allowed same and eqitable treatment, why audit firms are now a days become an hurdle for ACCA students, why they(Audit Firms) are inducting 7 to 8 attempts CA-Inter and rejecting first time passed finalist of ACCA(just one or two lapses in papers and you know that their is no referral system in ACCA), why ACCAs are being cosidered as second tier qualifieds.

I must say and you have to agree that there are political players who are doing something against ACCA and there are some clear evidences of it but i think disclosure of names at this public forum will not be an ethical thing.

If the employers are preferring CA inters over ACCA's, it doesn't necessarily mean that there are some political motives. There could be a number of reasons. There are numerous examples of ACCA students who left their articles/training after one year or even less, when they got better opportunity (in terms of monetary rewards). A CA student is restricted by the contract with ICAP, there are no such bindings on ACCA students and they can leave whenever they want. This can even put the firms in an inconvenient situation. there are many examples....

BTW what would you say of the firms in UK. They are also preferring CA's over ACCA's. Are they also biased and prejudiced in your views?
